I personally like the idea behind this piece :D It's really original!

What I like the most about this is the way they are slowly becoming mermaids. Their terrified yet confused expressions add a great touch to it.

I'd say the skin would look more natural if it was more shaded =) Especially in the brown-haired girl, the shading in her skin is rather faint so making it more noticeable would give it some volume.
You should also consider shading a little more the blond girl's hair as well.

Overall, great job with it! The water looks really nice and adding the guy hiding in the back was a great idea :giggle:.

In conclusion: Don't be afraid of making the shades darker but bear in mind the light source!

Great concept and wonderful execution.

I just hope one of those girls brought a knife so they can get free of those swim suits before their tails reach their upper thighs.
:iconcoralwerks:
The tails will probably take care of that by default...

and thanks for the compliment!

The brunette's eyes look a little weird, but this is a lovely picture :]

They're meant to be a little larger and a bit cat-like, but it may be that some of the lines bunched together when the image was reduced to 25% of the original size.

And thank you for the input!

Nah, what I meant, I'll go a bit in depth in this, the right (computer's right, our left, or the eye facing the water) is higher than the left, and the actually eye itself is large.

Also, look at your eyebrows in the mirror, they are asymmetrical (meaning they both look the same), both girls eyebrows are different.

And the fingers should be just a little bit thicker.

But those are the only things you need to work on.

Ah. I see now. I've yet to find the magic pixel thickness in Manga Studio when drawing the fingers, but I'll find it. And you're right about the eyes. They aren't on a line around the front of the face.

And now that I look at it, the perspective seems wrong on the blond... or maybe she's just beginning to lose her balance.

Doesn't asymmetrical means they aren't the same? But I think I got your meaning.

I appreciate the critique. Thank you!
:iconirainbow-unicorn:
I believe it means they are the same, but I could be horribly mistaken :/
