The Golden Way (2013)
This was taken during an "unscheduled" stop on the ride up the grade. Normally the train backs up the grade and doesn't stop until it reaches the water tank a few miles out of Leadville. We stopped so the engineer could get a photo of the train for an update of the railroad guidebook. While he was climbing the hill to the left, I went out onto the 'front porch' of the locomotive to get this view of the aspen trees.
